He Does Have A Point
Tyrus, Mary, and I leave the house every morning at 7:00 so that I have time to get them safely to Andria's house and then have time to get to work by 8:00. We also like to occassionally stop by BK for some apple fries for Tyrus. I never turn the radio up on the way to Andria's house because the three of us are too busy talking and singing. Tyrus likes to point out certain vehicles to me and then he likes to sound out the sound that that vehicle makes. For example:
Ty: "Mama! A powice car! Wooooooooooo Wooooooooooo..."
Get it? He does this for Police cars, Firetrucks, Ambulances, you name it then he has some sort of sound for it. Its actually really cute because now Mary has started copying her big "Bubba" and I often hear two "powice car" sounds coming from the backseat.
We seem to have a song for every point of our 15 minute journey to Andria's. For example:
When we pass the horse pasture...
Ty: "Mama! horsees! Sing it Mama..."
Me: "Horsees in the morning, Horsees in the evening, Horsees in the afternoon"
Ty: "What they doin Mama?"
Me: "They're eating their breakfast."
Ty: "What they eating Mama?"
Me: "Grass"
Ty: "Why?"
Me: "Because they like it and its good for them."
Ty: "Grass good for me too?"
Me: "No. People don't eat grass."
Ty: "Why?"
Me: "Well, because people have better things to choose from like cereal and pop tarts."
Ty: "Oh. okay."
The only reason that I documented that conversation was because we have it every single morning.
After the horse pasture we come to a red light and we see if we can find any school buses or garbage trucks. Tyrus LOVES to be the first one to spot a school bus. We've played this game for as long as I can remember - even before Mary was born.
Anyways, yesterday (Monday) morning we were on our way and Tyrus wasn't too excited about going to Dri's house. I think he stayed up partying to much over the weekend. I was trying to get him all excited:
Me: "Tyrus, you are going to have so much fun today at Dri's. You get to play with all the cool toys that Dri bought this weekend. You get to play with Steven, and Andrew, and T-y!"
Tyrus thought about it a second and then pointed his finger in the air as he said...
Ty: "Mama, T-y is not a toy. I don't play with him."
He does have a point.
