One Of Those Days...

Today was one of those days that I want to remember forever.   All 4 of us spent every second of daylight outside.  Tyrus and Mary spent a ton of time riding around the yard in his Gator.  By the way, that thing is the coolest thing that Santa has ever brought...

Tyrus helped me pull weeds.  I pulled the weeds and then put them in the back of his Gator and then he would drive it around and dump them in the woods.  It go so dirty that it needed washing...

We also gave the new car its first wash of the season...

We also went to Lowe's and bought some plants for our front porch planters.  I fell in love with the Snap Dragons.  Something about them is so pretty to me...

She is so pretty to me too...

Around lunchtime the kids decided to have a picnic in the garage...

While we were in there eating Mr. Ed came over to day hello...

And he brought his favorite Mary a little baby plant...

I think the kids believe that Mr. Ed is their Grandpa or something.  Whenever he is outside they make a beeline for him.  He is very sweet to them...

When Mr. Ed drove away Tyrus jumped into his Gator and followed him home...

During the tree project the kids and I were staying safe on the driveway.  tyrus was trying to take a picture, but someone kept getting in front of the camera...

See what I mean about a perfect day...

We finished our fantastic day outdoors by grilling out.  We ate fresh fruit, grilled chicken, corn on the cob, and salad.  Then we headed back outside for more playing...

Neil and I worked in the yard all day while the kids played around us.  At one point I looked up and I thought about my childhood and how my parents would spend hours outside on the weekends while Bryand I played around them.  This thought kept making me smile.  When I put the kids in the bath tonight the dirt just came flowing off.  I knew, as we put them to bed tonight, that their bellys were full and their bodies were tired.  It felt so magical to me as I kissed their sunkissed cheeks and told them to always remember these days.  This blog will help, but I don't think this day will ever be forgotten.
