Florida - November 2010

I realized a couple of weeks ago that I was getting Veterans Day off and since it fell on a Thursday this year I decided to go ahead and take Friday off too and take the kids to Florida for a long weekend. We left on Wednesday when I got off work. I intended on getting off a couple of hours early, but I had to leave early on Tuesday to take Mary to the doctor. Poor Baby had a double ear infection. So, we left on Wednesday at 6:00 pm and it was the hardest drive EVER! I was exhausted, but we finally made it around 12:30. The kids did amazing on the drive. Mom bought them new videos to watch and they watched them both and then fell asleep. It was perfect!
I had been asking my Mama all week what the weather was like and I was expecting around 85 degree weather. I was really looking forward to spending the days on the beach getting some sun. However, Mother Nature had a different idea. Instead, the weather was freezing and I got really sick. We still made the most of our trip and on Thursday took the kds to the beach. It was freezing and Mary wanted nothing to do with it...
