Smart Boy
Ty is like a little sponge and he is absorbing everything lately. I often feel guilty that he isn't in more of a school setting, but we all love Andria and her family so much I just couldn't stand to take him away from her. However, Andria has started teaching the boys things. She went to the local school supply store and bought several activities to do with them. Tyrus has known his colors for several weeks now, but now he knows almost all of his shapes! Yesterday I sat down and drew all the shapes that I could think of and he knew them. I even drew a trapezoid and he knew what it was. I also drew an octagon and a star and he told me what they were with no problems.
Ty is speaking really well also. He has started putting words together that actually go together and he uses them at the right times. For example, when I ask him if he did something he will reply, "Yes, I did Mama" he will also reply, "No, I didn't Mama." When we say his name to get his attention and don't immediately say what we want we will hear, "What Mama/Dada?"
Neil bought some doughnuts yesterday and Ty had one before he went to bed. He wanted to have another one, but Neil told him he couldn't have one until he woke up. So, first thing this morning, Ty walked into the kitchen and said, "I want a doughnut first." While he was saying this he also held his little hand up and used his finger to make a "1" to represent "first".
Neil and I seem to giggle at him everyday. He is so amazing to us.
