What is up?
Ever since Tyrus was born he has been the most perfect little baby. He hardly ever cried, he was sleeping through the night at 12 weeks, and strangers would come up to me and ask where he went to obedience school. Well, things have definitely changed and Neil and I are totally scratching our heads trying to figure out what is going on and where our precious, sweet, perfect little baby boy went. Here is an example:

A conversation between Neil and Tyrus...
Ty: "Where my milk go?"
Neil: "Its sitting on the coffee table - right in front of you"
Neil then picks it up and realizes that it is empty.
Neil: "Oh, its empty. Let me get you some more"
Ty then throws himself on the floor and starts screaming at the top of his lungs.

What is up? Ty has been doing this over every. single. thing. for the last two months. I tell myself that he is still adjusting to having his baby sister around, but I mean she has been here for a while now. When is the adjustment phase going to be over? We have tried giving him extra attention, we have tried time out, we have tried everything. We are to the point where we want to spank him, but you can't do that twenty thousand times a day. Does anyone have any advice?

Tyrus, I love you so much! I just don't really understand you right now. :)

It took Miss Madision 8 months to start acting like herself again. Don't stress just stick to your gut instincts and roll with it. Your sweet Ty will return in time!!!!

Thanks Meg!

It could be due to two things....the new baby and the age...(perhaps the terrible two's )

This too will pass!

I too believe its a stage. Start taking things away, let him loose certain privileges... favorite toys, TV time etc. that seemed to work with Trent. Alyssa on the other hand........

Don't worry it will only last a couple of years!! j/k! We try to ignore fits, and tell them we can talk when they stop. If you give in he will learn to do it all the time. But don't even try and reason with him. You'll just make yourself crazy!!

Brittain is right! 2 year olds can't reason that well... I hear it gets better at age 3 (I'm hoping!).

I remember Samantha going through this stage more than Sabrina. Just a couple of months and she was over it. Now, Sabrina is going through a very demanding, bossy stage. She thinks she can tell US how it's going to be. It's one phase after another...just when you think you have a handle on it...
