This time last year I had stopped working and I was spending my days in "nesting mode". We would wake up early and the boys would leave to go on an adventure and while they were gone I would get down on my hands and knees and scrub the base boards in every room of the house. I remember organizing and re-organizing Mary's room over and over again. I wanted it to be perfect for my little girl when she came home. The funny thing is that if you ask any of my girlfriends they would tell you that before I got married my dream was to have a house full of boys. I had no desire for a little girl. Now, however, one of my main goals in raising Mary is for her to embrace the girl in her. Our world is flooded with pink clothes, pink stuffed animals, pink plastic cell phones, and pink plastic keys and I wouldn't have it any other way. I love my girl so much.
I was looking at some pictures last night, remembering the day she was born, and I thought a trip down memory lane was appropriate.
Her first picture with Mama and Dada...

Not very happy...

Our first kiss...
