8 Days

We only have 8 days left until our little Mary turns 1! This is such an exciting time, but also a very sad time. I am really happy that my baby girl is growing up healthy and happy, but I so miss her being a tiny baby sometimes.

We had a busy weekend, but Mary developed two new things that I wanted to share.

1.) Mary has been pushing Ty's cars and trucks around for a couple of weeks now. She is really cute because she gets on her knees and with one hand on the car and the other on the floor she crawls around and pushes the car around at the same time. This weekend I noticed that she kept making the same sound every time she did it. As I paid more attention to her I figured out that she was doing her own version of "vrooom vrooom"! It comes out more like a raspberry, but it kills me how this little girl picks up on stuff and then does them herself.

2.) Mary also started pointing to things and saying "dat dat". I'm not 100% sure, but it seems like she is trying to say "What's that?". Just to be sure I try to figure out what she is pointing at every time and then tell her what it is.

We have a busy couple of weeks ahead of us AND a huge first birthday party this weekend! I will post a ton of pictures of that.
