Bad Tyrus
The other night I was home with the kids alone because Neil was working late. It had been a crazy night just because I was by myself, but I had just put Mary to sleep so I was expecting things to get a little easier. Tyrus, however, had a different idea. His new "thing" is mocking. When you are standing in front of him scolding him he will make this funny looking face and point at you at the same time. It is completely hilarious, but it will make you so mad at the same time. Anyways, Tyrus mocked me so I quickly put him in timeout. This is what came out of the little stinker's mouth:
Me: "Tyrus, go to timeout right now! You do not mock Mama!"
Tyrus: sobbing hysterically, "I want Dada! I want my Dada!"
Me: "I'm sure you do want your Dada, but your Dada would tell you to do the same thing that I'm doing."
Tyrus: "I want my Dada!"
Just then, Neil pulled in the driveway...
Me: "Tyrus, you're about to get your Dada."
Tyrus: "Dada here?" (tears streaming down his face)
Me: "Yep."
When Neil walked in Tyrus jumped up to his feet and expected to be let free from his prison...
Me: "Tyrus mocked me"
Neil: "Tyrus, we do not do that! You sit down right now."
Tyrus: Immediate sobbing and screaming at the top of his lungs, "I want Mom! I want Mom!"
When I told Mom this story she just giggled. I know she loves the fact that he loves her so much. I do too.
