We moved to the Spivey area when I was 5 years old and a few years later my grandparents built a house in another neighborhood on the lake. I remember many weekends, when we were little, that we spend the entire day on the lake. At the end of the day we would go back to my grandparents dock and eat KFC as the sun set. When we got a little older my brother and I would walk through the woods to my grandparents house and take the boat out ourselves. Being on the lake was like our own little world that we could escape to.
