So, yesterday Tyrus, Mary, and myself flew to Raleigh to surprise Shanna for Christmas! Shanna always goes out of her way to come to Atlanta to see us so I wanted to make it a point to see her this year in Raleigh. My intentions were to just bring Mary and I called Jeff about a month ago to run it by him. He thought it was a great idea, but 3 nights before we left he called and invited Tyrus to come too!! Yay - me, a 3 1/2 year old, and a 1 year old at the airport a week before Christmas! Chaos is good - Chaos is good. The trip to the airport was great and the kids did pretty good. I only had to get onto Tyrus a couple of times. The flight was wonderful. Ty was really into the flight and the airplane. Mary just sat in my lap and talked to the old lady next to us. I hoped to take our camera and take a lot of pictures of Mary's first flight and Ty all excited about the flight, but this is the only one I got at the airport...
And it was taken by Shanna when we arrived - Slacker!! I didn't even bring our camera. I didn't even check a bag. I restricted myself to just two outfits a piece for both the kids and me. I made it all fit in the little black bag that you see in the picture above. It was great because it saved a lot of time and money because they charge you to check baggage now. Its been great hanging out with Shanna. We have taken several photos since yesterday and a few are included int he posts following this one. However, we still have 2 more days here and I can't wait to see what other memories we make and what other great pictures we get!!
