A Little Confused...
I guess since our little Mary was brought home Neil and I have been speaking a lot of 'baby talk" because Ty has started doing it more and more. The only thing is that he is doing it at the wrong times. For example, yesterday we were driving home and we passed a puddle on the side of the road and Ty said, "Awww, a baby lake. Awwww". I guess he thinks that anything small is a "baby" and needs to be spoken to or about like a "baby".
In other Tyrus news...he is definitely listening to EVERYTHING that comes out of my mouth. The other day I was driving and not really paying attention to Ty and Mary in the backseat. Something happened, I can't really remember what, but it was something like a train came and blocked our turn. It was a perfect time and situation for a "bad word" to come out of my mouth, but Ty, without even thinking about it, said, "oh crap". Anyone who knows me knows that I say things like this all the time. It wasn't that he said it, it was that he said it EXACTLY like I would have. Same tone of voice and everything. I giggled to myself a little bit in the front seat.
And yet another Tyrus story...The other day Neil took Ty to Wal-Mart to get some food. Tyrus is currently addicted to Lucky Charms and his Dada had eaten them all and Tyrus absolutely could not live without them. So, they went to wal-mart, but while they were on the cereal aisle Ty said he wanted Frosted Mini-Wheats. Neil said he looked directly at the box and said he wanted them. Neil just assumed that he ate them at Andria's, but we later found out that wasn't true. He had never had them before. Anyways, when the boys got home Ty said he wanted some mini-wheats and when I poured them out on his plate he asked, "where my strawberries?" I was a little confused until I looked at the front of the box and noticed that the cereal box designers thought they would play a little trick on the parents and make kids think that when they bought the box they were buying the exact same thing on the picture. Luckily, we had some strawberries in the fridge.
