He actually asked...
Ty has been doing fantastic with his potty training. It is very normal now for him to pee pee in the potty several times a day. However, he does this when we say, "Ty, do you need to go potty?" After some thought he will say, "Yes. Yes, I do." and then he runs to the potty. So, in other words, he goes when we ask him or remind him.

This morning he did something new. He was sitting on our bed watching cartoons and he looked at me and said, "Mama, I got poopie." I asked him if he wanted to sit on the potty and he immediately jumped up and ran to the potty. I really expected him just to pee pee, but when I went back in to check on him he had gone poopie in the potty. THEN, after I had wiped him he said, "I gotta pee pee now." He sat right back down on the potty and went pee pee!!
I think in another week I will buy him some big boy underwear and see how that goes. We are so proud of him!!
