Sweet Mary

Dear Mary,
You won't remember this, but when your Dad or I go into your room to get you up you prop yourself up on your arms and smile the biggest smile. It makes the morning time so nice! When we place you on your changing table you stretch and stick your belly up really high in the air. You Dada loves to put his hand on your belly. When it is time to eat you watch the person that is making your bottle like a hawk and when it is finished "cooking" you want it right away.

You won't remember this, but you seem to be very intelligent. You are an observer and are happy just sitting and watching whatever is going on. I think you're probably thinking how crazy your family is and you have no idea what you're going to do with us.

You won't remember this, but your big brother is fascinated by you. When you cry he is concerned and he often will give you a very gentle kiss on the top of your head. Sometimes, he gets carried away and kisses you a little too hard, but I know that he means well. You won't remember this, but your big brother likes to climb in the crib with you. I actually found him in there last weekend. You were napping and he went missing. Your room was the last place I looked and there he was, in the crib with you sucking his thumb and resting right next to you.

You won't remember this, but you are the only girl at Ms. Dri's house and they tell me that you already want to get up and run with the boys. They tell me that the boys over there love you very much. They know that there is something "different" about you and they treat you very sweetly. They even change the tone of their voice when they talk to you. You are a very lucky little girl to have so many "Big Brothers".

You won't remember this, but you are growing out of all your clothes! Today you are wearing a 6-9 month outfit and it seems like you won't be wearing it for very long.

You won't remember this, but your Dada thinks that you are the sweetest little thing in the world. He calls you his "little bean". I'm a little jealous because you always give your best smiles to him. You and he have a very sweet connection and I look forward to watching your relationship grow. I know he has a lot planned for you!

You won't remember this, but I can make you laugh by squeezing your fat little legs. It is the sweetest little sound in the world and it makes any bad day much better!

Sweet Mary, you are my precious little angel. There is something about a little baby girl that is so sweet and innocent. When I look in your eyes I see so many great things ahead of you and I cannot wait to see what you do in your lifetime.

Please remember this - you are our sweet baby girl. We love your old soul so much and our family would not be complete without you.
Love,
Mama
