First Doctor Visit
Mary Lauren had her first official Pediatrician visit today. Here are her stats:

Height: 19 3/4 inches (38%)
Weight: 8 lbs. even (50%)
Head: 14 inches (49%)

Neil and I were very happy that Mary had gained so much weight back. When she was born she weight 7 lbs. 13 oz. and when we left the hospital she weighed 7 lbs. 3 oz. So, you can see that our little princess is a little piglet!
The Doctor said that she looked absolutely perfect. Neil and I were bragging that she got a 9.9 Apgar score when she was born. I had the normal new Mama questions. It is weird that even though Mary is my second child I still have questions that I should probably already know the answer to. The Doctor said it is because she is a little girl and she has different parts. One of my main concerns is that when Mary Lauren has a bowel movement she tenses up really tight and then it sounds like an explosion that someone can hear across the room. Apparently, this is normal for breast fed babies. As long as the poops are yellow and seedy and she is not spitting everything up. She said that she is just new and her body is trying to figure everything out. I'm a little scared to eat anything though. I think this will take me a while to get over. I'm scared that I'll eat something that will make her sick or give her really bad gas. Neil and I stopped on the way home because I was craving french fries. I guess we will see how they affect her.
All in all Mary is perfect, but we already knew that. :)

I am happy to hear that she is doing great. Do you remeber when Emily was first born, she had bowel movements that were loud and explosive too? I know she had problems with the breast milk but she did the same thing. Anyway, glad it went well!
