Neither my brother or Angela have a blog site. So, I want to document this story so that we never forget how lucky we are...
The other night Angela and Wesley stayed at my brother's house. They spent the evening just hanging out and playing hide-&-Go seek. They all went to bed together as usual. All 3 of them sleep in the same bed. Angela woke up around 1:30 in the morning and Wesley wasn't in the bed. Bryan got up to see what he was doing. He figued that he was playing with his toys in his playroom. However, when Bryan walked into the living room he was shocked to see that the front door was wide open. Immediately, he and Angela started searching for Wesley. Bryan was looking everywhere in the house while Angela was looking outside. Thankfully, their neighbor heard them and came outside to see if they were looking for a four year old boy. Apparently, Wesley woke up and decided that he wanted to play Hide-&-Go seek. So, he walked outside, in his underwear, and rang their neighbors door to see if he could hide in their house. Their neighbor had no idea who he was and Wesley couldn't tell him how to get back to his house. The neighbor called the police. By the time that Angela and Bryan found him at their neighbor's house the police drove up. Basically, they asked them several questions, but they also said that they would be surprised at how often it happens.
Thankfully, Wesley was okay. So many things could have happened to him. We're lucky that their neighbor was a good person, or that their neighbor was awake and Wesley didn't have to keep walking around in the dark.
I cannot wait until the day we can tell Wesley this story and we can all laugh about it.
