Ty had his 15 month appointment last week. He weighs 28 1/2 lbs., is 31 1/2 inches tall, and his head is 20 inches. The doctor said that everything looked really well, but she was a little concerned that Ty is not saying more words. She said that babies his age should know how to say atleast 3 words. For example... cat, car, ball, etc. She gave me an assignment. For the next 3 months Neil and I are to choose one word a week and then everytime we are about to hand Ty that object we should say it 5 times. The first week it has been cup.

The reason that I am posting this is because Neil and I were just in the kitchen feeding Ty and making our dinner. Lu Lu was in her normal meal time position of sitting right under Ty's high chair. Out of the blue Ty leaned over his high chair and said, "Hey Lu Lu". It wasn't that clear the first time, but Neil and I said it and then Ty repeated us and it got a little clearer each time. How great is this? It may not be much, but it is a start!
