We Are Moved
Sorta! There are still boxes everywhere and I have no idea where my clothes are or where our camera is, but we are in our new home and I feel like a princess!! I love it!! Here is a breakdown of our first 3 nights:
Night 1: Neil and I stayed the first night by ourselves. We did a little unpacking and organizing of the kids rooms, but then we took advantage of having our new house to ourselves. It was Halloween so there were a ton of scary movies on. I made the TERRIBLE mistake of watching The Amytiville Horror. Neil knew I was freaking myself out and, like the wonderful Husband that he is, took total advantage of it. He started saying things like, "You know, there is probably a reason why we got such a good deal. The house did sit empty for a few months." By the end of the night I wouldn't go downstairs without him and I made him sleep on the side of the bed closest to the door. Don't worry - no ghosts got us! I woke up so happy to be home!
Night 2: The babies came to their new home. I spent the night before and that day unpacking their rooms and trying to get them set up as much as possible. They love their new playroom, but Ty is a little unsure about his gigantic bedroom. Mary went down just fine, but woke us up at 2:30 screaming her head off. Neil and I got up with her trying to see if she was okay. We think she either woke up scared because of the new house or her teeth were hurting. So, we gave her some Tylenol and a cookie and hung out with her for 30 minutes then she went back to sleep and slept until 8:30. When I was walking to get Mary out of her bed I noticed that Ty's bedroom door was open. I walked back into our room to see if he was in there somewhere, but he wasn't. So, I went downstairs and found him in the bed with Grandma! Mama said she didn't mind because he is a cuddle bug and is warm.
Night 3: Mary was very clingy all day to Grandma. I really think she is teething because she is constantly chewing on her fingers. She did go down in her crib very easily and slept all night! She was still asleep when I left this morning. AND...drum roll please...Tyrus Benjamin stayed in his room all night and he was still asleep when I left this morning!! Yay Tyrus!! It seems like they are getting used to their new home!
As soon as I find our camera I will take some pictures of our new home and post them.
