1 Year

I just took Mary to her one year check up and here are her stats:

Weight: 26 lbs. (97%)
Height: 30 3/4 in. (90%)
Head: 18 1/4 in. (78%)

The doctor was really impressed with our little Mary! She asked if Mary was saying at least two words and I told her that she can say more than that. The words that she can say are: Dada, Mama, Bubba, Hello (heda), and ball. The doctor said she was ahead for her age group! Yay Mary!

We stopped the bottles cold turkey yesterday! Hallelujah!! Mary has done really well so far. When she would usually get a bottle in the morning she got an Eggo waffle and ate the whole thing. She was totally content with just that and her sippy cup of milk. She also loves anything that Neil, Tyrus, or I eat. She has always been like this. I actually have a box of baby food sitting in my pantry because she was never really a fan of it. She always just wanted to feed herself. The doctor called her Ms. Independent. Her absolute favorite is fruit. I think she could live off of fruit. She gets this from her brother. He is the same way and now I have to buy a ton of fruit a week to keep them happy.

Mary has 8 teeth today. She has 4 on top and 4 on bottom and you can see all of them when she smiles. So cute!!

Tyrus went to the doctor with us today. When I told him yesterday that Mary had to go he asked if he could go too. When we were in the room with the nurse and the doctor he kept telling Mary, "you have to get a shot today. It'll be okay baby." and then he would pat her leg and kiss her. Then when the nurse came in with the shots he stood right next to the table and sternly told the nurse, "Don't hurt my baby!" He is such the protective big brother! Poor Mary had to get 3 shots today, but hopefully she is done for a while. It was so sad.

So, the big question that I get these days..."Who is bigger? Were Ty's legs THAT big?" :) I looked on the blog and got Ty's 1 year stats:

Weight: 27.8 lbs.
Height: 31 in.
Head: 20 in.

Ty weighted about 2 pounds more than Mary, but he was just a little bit taller than she is. So, I think the answer is that they were probably a little bigger or really close to the same. I love my babies little fat legs!!
