Dreams & Pop Tarts

Yesterday, after picking up the kids, we stopped at Publix for some groceries. Ty LOVES to stop at Publix because he gets a free cookie from the bakery. The bakery ladies just know us now and I don't even have to tell them what we want or even what kind of cookie Tyrus wants - they just know! Did y'all know that? Kids get a free cookie from Publix. It really works to get him to behave while I grocery shop.

Anyways, when we walked in the door Publix had a display of all their BOGO items of the week. One of which was Pop Tarts. The Tingles really enjoy Pop Tarts so I took complete advantage of this deal. I asked Ty what flavor he wanted and, after looking at the boxes and thinking about it for entirely too long, he chose Blueberry. So, I threw the box in the cart and went on our way.

Later that evening Tyrus said he wanted one of his blueberry Pop Tarts. I explained to him that he couldn't have one this late because it was almost night night time and he wouldn't be able to sleep. Of course, the conversation did not go over that well and there were many "whys?" and a few screams and tears because I wouldn't let him have a Pop Tart before bedtime. I did, however, win and he did go to bed without a Pop Tart.

This morning, when I went in to wake him up:

Me: "Did you have sweet dreams last night?"
Ty: "Uh huh" (yes)
Me: "What did you dream about?"
Ty: "Blueberry Pop Tarts"

So, Tyrus had a blueberry Pop Tart for breakfast this morning - just in case you wanted to know!
